  • Creativity is not just for brainstorms, it’s for life…

Catalysis spent an enjoyable day at the Brand Museum exploring creativity and the role of ideas in our business. You can see some pictures below, and more on our Facebook page. Some might disturb the faint-hearted.

The day was quite productive, and very enjoyable. What was most interesting for me was the question of how we weave creative thinking into our everyday lives in and outside work.

As a company we’ve worked a lot over the last couple of years on improving and developing brainstorms, and we’ve got pretty good at it. The result is that we are selling and implementing quite a range of exciting and unique projects. And that is great.

But the brainstorm environment is specific, circumscribed and controlled – the question I want to explore is how we get that level of interaction and excitement about ideas to be part of the daily culture. We got some great insights on the day as to how we can start that journey. Some of it is about how we adapt the rules for brainstorming to apply them to general office life. Part is about recording, curating and developing ideas – seeing them as assets in their own right rather than the byproduct of client work.
