ASUS Eee PC sells out following Catalysis coverage
A Sunday Times review of the ASUS Eee PC increased sales to such a degree that all resellers ran out of stock on launch day.
The piece, in the InGear section of the newspaper, was placed by Catalysis to position the Eee PC as a companion device suitable for tech-savvy grown-ups, as well as a children’s toy – a key objective of ASUS.
The review was just one piece of coverage generated by Catalysis to support the launch of the Eee PC in the UK.
ASUS tasked Catalysis with raising awareness of the ASUS brand outside of the consumer-tech publications.
Over a three-month period, we achieved approximately 30 pieces of coverage in the clients’ key target publications including TheSunday Times, Daily Telegraph, TheGuardian and on BBC TV show Something for the Weekend.
