You’re an experienced account manager who represents your clients’ interests at every turn. When it comes to your account, you’re never content with "good enough."

With high emotional intelligence, you seek to understand your clients’ challenges, think ahead to anticipate their needs, and are laser focused on making their experience of working with your agency the best it can be.

You know the secret to a great agency-client relationship is knowing your clients’ business inside out. And getting to know your clients’ industry, from the high-level strategic to the detailed, product-specific, is of vital importance to you.

You’re also a thinker who enjoys the intellectual challenge of B2B technology marketing. You relish getting stuck into a brief—researching it, challenging it, ideating around it. And can inspire a creative team to deliver outstanding campaign work time and time again.

You bring commercial sensibility and have a history of spotting opportunities to go bigger and bolder to ensure your accounts are profitable and growing.

Finally, you are bright, adaptable, and organized. You can jump quickly between multiple projects — all with different objectives, audiences, and deliverables — without dropping a ball.

What you’ll do day to day

We’re looking for an account manager to work across clients including HPE and Kyndryl. This portfolio will offer you a mixed bag of challenges and opportunities to do very different types of work:

  • HPE is also a client we’ve worked with for a long time, across multiple teams and groups. The work we do for them covers a broad range of project types, from high-level strategy andmessaging to creative and content production. It’s also an account with a lot of growth potential. You’ll be supporting the senior leadership team in running these projects and campaigns when they come in.
  • For Kyndryl we have a regular stream of writing work (for which we use a team of freelancers), and a process set up to support this. You’ll be overseeing the account, ensuring high standards are maintained and building good relationships with the client contacts. This account has the potential to expand and grow, so you’ll also be closely involved in helping to drive and manage that growth (with support from senior leadership).
  • The third client is a large and well-established account (we’ve worked with them for over 20 years!) but it’s constantly evolving. We work with multiple business units and people, doing everything from high-level messaging and campaign strategy, through to creative content production (including videos, animations, social, ebooks, case studies, web content etc). You’ll need to get up to speed on all of this and take the lead on driving a lot of the work that comes in.
  • We have a number of other clients on our radar that we work with from time to time. Our plan for 2024-2025 is to grow the work we do with them into more established, recurring streams of revenue. You’ll have an opportunity to help build out this pipeline as well.

Across all your accounts, your job is to

  • Understand the client, its business, industry, competitors and customers, and products and services, and use this knowledge to inform consultancy and agency team understanding.
  • Be responsible to the client for the delivery of work across multiple projects, working yourself and leading the team to ensure every asset is completed to an exceptional standard, on time and profitably.
  • Operate independently in a strategic role, identifying opportunities to go bigger, bolder and helping to write and action account growth plans.

You will report to our deputy MD, who takes executive leadership team (ELT) responsibility for the accounts you’ll be working on.
